In honor of National Energy Action Month, General Motors is leveraging its 20-year partnership with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s ENERGY STAR® program to find more ways to reduce the energy intensity of its facilities and decrease its impact on climate change.
Chevrolet recently began selling the Spark EV to Maryland commuters able to take advantage of the state’s robust charging infrastructure. Now the car’s electric motor and drive unit are being manufactured in Maryland under a rooftop solar array in a newly LEED-certified building.
Communities and nonprofits across the country will receive a helping hand from General Motors’ employee volunteers next week as part of the company’s third annual “teamGM Cares Week.” From delivering Teddy Bears to cancer patients to cleaning up beaches and neighborhoods, countless projects will take place from Sept. 8-12.
WARREN, Mich. – Following several days of joint testing, General Motors and BMW AG engineers are confident that DC “Combo” Fast Charge stations from several suppliers will consistently allow an electric vehicle to take on an 80 percent charge in about 20 minutes.
